Matthias Siebert studied mechanical engineering at the Leibniz Universität Hannover from 1990 to 1996 and was one of the first graduates to complete the interdisciplinary mechatronics degree program. Afterwards, Matthias Siebert gained industry experience at Siemens AG, where he was particularly engaged in the development of fiber optic splicers.
Since 2000 Matthias Siebert is engaged in intellectual property law and successfully completed his training as a patent attorney in 2005 and as a professional representative before the European Patent Office in 2008. After several years with a renowned patent law firm, where he distinguished himself in patent application and litigation proceedings, he joined DHS Patentanwalts GmbH in 2018.
As a patent attorney, Matthias Siebert works in all fields of general mechanical engineering with interfaces to electrical engineering. This includes amongst others automotive, construction, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, energy technology, thermodynamics, medical technology and plant engineering sectors.
