Ignaz Gall graduated from the Technical University of Munich in 2004 with a degree in mechanical engineering. His major fields of study were aeronautical and space technology as well as production engineering. Additionally, Ignaz worked at the company Knorr-Bremse AG in the field of brake systems for rail vehicles, where he gained knowledge in the technical field of brake technology as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems. During his diploma thesis at the Knorr Brake Corporation in Westminster, USA, his responsibility included improvement of brake systems in rail vehicles.
From 2004 to 2008, Ignaz was working with Maiwald Patentanwalts GmbH. He is qualified as a patent attorney and a European Trademark and Design Attorney. He joined DHS Patentanwalts GmbH in 2008. In 2010, he qualified as a European Patent Attorney. In 2014, he became partner and managing director of DHS Patentanwalts GmbH.
As a patent attorney, his work has focused in the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering, in particular aeronautics, medical engineering, software engineering, as well as production technology and measurement engineering. His activities in the field of intellectual property covernational and international intellectual property law, in particular application proceedings, oppositions and appeal proceedings of patent and utility models as well as trademark and design prosecution and litigation. Ignaz Gall additionally teaches intellectual property law at the Montanuniversität Leoben.
